Job Description

Main Purpose

To provide an excellent efficient support service to our Account Executives (Broker and Direct) by assessing and preparing information from our clients in preparation for the Underwriting stage.

Key Accountabilities & Duties

  • Correctly load the information sent to ICW and upload the enquiry correctly onto our insurance software system (MPACS)
  • Check if client details and the property address have been added correctly on the system
  • Review risks and ensure that all information is loaded onto MPACS
  • Upload all project details i.e., Floors plans, elevations site plans and any other information that is required
  • Create a property tree for the risk
  • Liaise with Broker agents to source further information required
  • Record building cost information service (BCIS) details with the Account Executive advising them of any further information required
  • Conduct credit checks
  • Ensure that all notes are recorded on the notepad section of MPACS
  • Provide accurate and detailed notes in the Pre-Underwriting section on MPACS
  • Answer calls from clients
  • Occasionally contact clients by phone and email to follow up on requests for information
  • Any other duties as may be required

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • 5 GCSE’s grade C or above (including English and Maths) or equivalent NVQ
  • Ability to work with confidential and sensitive data
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment
  • Strong customer focus
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Excellent communication skills especially via email
  • The ability to work well as part of a team is essential
  • Experience in the insurance industry is desirable

  • liaising effectively with Account Executives and broker agents to prepare risks for underwriting
