British Offsite's UNisystem achieves ICW Endorsed accreditation
British Offsite, a leading advanced manufacturing company and a wholly owned subsidiary of The Weston Group, has been awarded ICW Endorsed accreditation for its UNisystem, a major achievement that will accelerate the use of its innovative offsite construction system across the UK.
UNisystem is an advanced light gauge steel panel system suitable for a wide range of developments, mid- and high-rise buildings. The system is manufactured at one of the largest automated assembly lines in Europe, where the company has the capacity to produce panels for 6000 homes per year. Alongside UNisystem, the company also manufactures complementary BOSFitout interior solutions for kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms, offering the complete offsite solution for housebuilders, developers and a variety of sectors.
Presentation of the ICW Endorsed accreditation follows a rigorous technical assessment of the UNisystem, confirming it meets ICW’s stringent technical requirements for quality.
As one of the UK’s largest structural insurance warranty providers, ICW serves all major mortgage lenders. This endorsement from ICW means that British Offsite’s UNisystem is now approved for use in conjunction with ICW’s structural warranties.
Philip Quinn, Director of Surveying Services at ICW, said “We are proud to announce British Offsite has earned our ICW Endorsed accreditation. The exceptional quality of their manufacturing facility sets a high standard and we’re delighted to have them on board as we support them as their business expands.”
Shaun Weston, Managing Director of British Offsite, said "This accreditation is a testament to the quality and innovation of UNisystem. Achieving ICW Endorsed accreditation streamlines the structural warranty process for projects and will help to address the UK’s housing shortage through the increasing adoption of modern methods of construction."
