To provide an excellent efficient support service to our Account Executives (Broker and Direct) by assessing and preparing information from our clients in preparation for the Underwriting stage.
Reporting into our Directors you will underwrite surety business in accordance with the Company’s business plan and within its delegated underwriting authority. Underwriting opportunities from across the UK, the successful candidate will focus on building the Company’s surety offering, in order to service the needs of the Company’s clients in line with ICW’s risk appetite and its underwriting guidelines.
Building Control Plan Checker
Reporting to the Operations Director, The Building Control Plan Checker will be responsible for overall plan check management to help ensure projects comply with the Building Regulations and associated guidance for residential and commercial developments.
Building Control Surveyor - various locations
Reporting to the Operations Director, the Building Control Surveyor/s will be responsible for overall project management as well as undertaking plan checking and site inspections to help ensure projects comply with the Building Regulations and associated guidance for residential and commercial developments. We have several vacancies and are actively recruiting in the North East, West Yorkshire and Cambridgeshire.
Technical Underwriters, on behalf of our insurers, are responsible for identifying potential risks at inception that may lead to a claim under a structural warranty. The main purpose of the role is to identify and eliminate a potential issue that may cause a claim over the 10- or 12-year structural warranty period.
