CIOB senior leaders visit ICW Group headquarters
Senior leaders from the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) visited the Belfast headquarters of ICW Group (ICW) recently to learn more about the building warranty and building control provider.
The CIOB’s Chief Executive Dr Caroline Gumble and Eddie Tuttle, Director of Policy, Research and Public Affairs met with ICW Managing Director Andrew Spratt, ICW Operations Director Nick Cuffe and other ICW colleagues about the group’s expansion throughout the UK and Ireland.
ICW provides both residential and commercial warranties to developers and contractors, including a specialist offer for High Value Schemes. Its Building Control division has been growing strongly over the last number of years while its Bond and Surety offering has grown sharply since last year’s launch.
The CIOB is the professional body for the construction industry and counts around 50,000 members in more than 100 countries. As well as helping to nurture talent within the industry, it campaigns on major issues, including eradicating modern slavery from the industry, improving the quality of the built environment, and that our environment is protected through more energy-efficient buildings and less-wasteful construction practices.
Andrew Spratt, Managing Director of ICW Insurance Services, said: “We were proud to host the CIOB at our headquarters here in Belfast. We are a CIOB Chartered Building Consultancy and we work with many of the organisation’s members providing both building warranty and building control services. It has been great to explore how we can work more closely with the CIOB in the future.”
CIOB Chief Executive Dr Caroline Gumble said: “I was delighted to visit ICW and meet with their team. Their commitment to quality construction processes was truly impressive, and it's clear how their approach ensures the delivery of high-quality new homes and developments. This aligns perfectly with CIOB's own mission and values to support excellence in construction. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with ICW and other industry leaders to promote best practice throughout the built environment sector."
